Tanya has a degree in Sports Science from Exeter University and started working life at World Sport Group and subsequently Paragon Event Management. During this time she was the Event Manager across a number of sports and events including the World Snooker Championships and Ladies Golf European Golf Tour.

She moved to Fast Track Events in 2004 working on a number of key accounts including UK Athletics and the UK School Games. Her main role during this time was as Event Director for the Paralympic World Cup.

In 2007 Tanya joined ParalympicsGB as their Chief Operating Officer, where she now heads up the Operational Strategies for the Winter and Summer Paralympic Games. Tanya was the Deputy Chef de Mission for the Beijing Paralympic Games in 2008 and will perform the same role in Vancouver 2010.
