James Radford (Head of Growth, Sport England)
James joined Sport England in September this year as Head of Growth and is responsible for ensuring Sport England reach its target of getting one million people playing more sport by 2012/13.
James has worked in the sport and leisure sector for five years, joining Sport England from Business in Sport and Leisure where he performed a policy development role. He has also been Public Affairs Researcher for the Fitness Industry Association, the umbrella body for the fitness industry which develops programmes to enable more people to be active. At Sport England James project manages the Themed Rounds of Lottery funding, which is currently focused on Active Women aimed at increasing sports participation amongst women in disadvantaged communities and women caring for children under 16.
