SportBusiness Group is delighted to announce that Breast Cancer Care will be the official charity partner of the Women and Sport Conference.

Breast Cancer Care is the charity for anyone affected by breast cancer.  They bring people together, provide information and support, and campaign for improved standards of care.  And use our understanding of people’s experience of breast cancer and our clinical expertise in everything we do.

Breast Cancer Care runs a range of sporting events from marathons and triathlons to overseas treks and expeditions. All of the money raised through their events goes directly to supporting the 46,000 people in the UK who are diagnosed with breast cancer every year.

One of Breast Cancer Care's celebrity supporters is Denise Lewis OBE - Olympic gold medallist Denise Lewis, who lost her grandmother to breast cancer, became Breast Cancer Care's sporting ambassador at the end of 2004. Since then she has headed up the charity's Pink Aerobics in October 2005, and more recently participated in a Ribbon Walk. Denise has lent her support to other sporting events run by Breast Cancer Care, providing hints and tips on training for participants. Denise took part in the charity's advertising campaign, 'Strength through Support’ and always attends the London Fashion Show.

Claire Pulford, Senior Sporting Events Manager, Breast Cancer Care, will be speaking at the day whilst representatives from Breast Cancer Care will be available on the day to meet and discuss their work.
